Hi, I'm Matt.
814 Builds is me, Matthew Myers. I grew up in Tyrone, lived there about 28 years, and I'm based in Hollidaysburg now. I'm a local, and I started this to help other small businesses around here look as good online as they really are.
I build software and websites for businesses around central PA, from booking and monitoring systems for indoor golf and racing venues to the site for a hand-knit blanket shop in Tyrone.
When you call, you get me. When something needs changing, I'm the one who changes it. No call centers, no hand-offs, no one reading from a script in another state.
814 Builds is the local side of Martian Industries, my software studio.

Do I really not pay for the preview?
Right. We build it first, you look at it, and you only pay if you want it live. If you pass, you owe nothing.
Do I own the website?
Yes. The site, the web address and the code are yours. If you ever want to move it somewhere else, you can.
How fast is it?
A full site can go live in as little as three days once we have what we need from you. Bigger jobs take longer, and you get the date in writing before you pay.
What do you need from me?
Your business name, what you do, your hours and phone number, and any photos or logo you have. No photos? We can start with what is on your Facebook page or Google listing.
I already have a website. Can you help?
Yes. If it is slow, dated or hard to change, we can build you a new one and move your web address over.
Can I make changes myself later?
Yes. On the care plan you can change your own words, prices and photos, or just text us what you want changed.
Do you do online ordering or booking?
We can build it, and we quote it separately. If you already take orders through Toast, SpotOn or Clover, keep it. We will build the real website around it.
Will I show up on Google?
Every site is built so Google can read it, with your name, hours and phone set up properly. Nobody can honestly promise you the top spot, so we won't.
Is there a contract?
No. The website is a one-time price. The care plan is month to month, or yearly if you would rather.
